Kenneth Scott Moorman, 59, of Auburn, formerly of Springfield, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026 at Arcadia Care Auburn.
He was born May 9, 1966 in Springfield, the son of Kenneth Leon Moorman and Mary Lou Durbin, who proceeded him in death.
He married his loving wife, Sharon Jean Simko and they shared 20 years together.
Ken enjoyed working as a truck driver for Lincoln Land Concrete. He loved his dogs, among most recently lost were Ryken and Docket. Ken and Sharon also loved to travel. Their favorite trip was to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan to see the shipwreck museum where the Edmund Fitzgerald sank on Lake Superior. Ken was spiritual, being recently baptized Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Moorman; her children and grandchildren; stepdad, Henry Tipps; sister, Shelly Duboff; several nieces and nephews: Destyn, Shayne, Tom, Joe and Lauren; an aunt and cousins.
Some knew him as Scott, and others Ken, but whatever he was called, if you knew him, he was a great person to know!
Memorials may be made to Arcadia Care Auburn, who were caring and compassionate during Ken’s final days.
As per Ken’s wishes no services will be held.
